Netflix has decided to partner with Microsoft to offer an ad-supported subscription plan.

“Microsoft has the proven ability to support all our needs as we together build a new ad-supported offering. More importantly, Microsoft offered the flexibility to innovate over time on both the technology and sales side, as well as strong privacy protections for our members,” – Greg Peters, Netflix COO

The streaming giant is expected to reveal its quarterly earnings which could come with some bad news. It is rumored that Netflix will reveal they have lost another 2 million subscribers. Offering the d-supported subscription plan at a much lower price will hopefully bring back some of the subscribers that they lost.
