StarKist Order To Pay $100 Million Fine


StarKist Co. has been ordered by judge Edward Chen to pay a $100 million fine for canned tuna price-fixing conspiracy. In addition to the fine StarKist will be on 13-month probation.

The fine has been broken down in payments. In the next 30 days, the tuna company will have to pay $5 million. In 2020 they will have to pay $11 million. From 2021 – 2024 StarKist will have to pay $21 million each year.

2020: $11 million
2021: $21 million
2022: $21 million
2023: $21 million
