Wells Fargo has agreed to a settlement with states including Washington D.C. to pay $575 Million. This was for the opening of unauthorized bank account in thousands of customer names.

This settlement came once their 2-year investigation comes to an end. Let’s not forget that Wells Fargo paid $1 billion in federal charges back in April.
As far as I can see this may be the last of the fines and fees that Well Fargo will have to dish out. But Damn they paid a ton in fees and fines. I have to imagine that Well Fargo is lucky to still be operating as a commercial bank right now.
