Sheldon Richardson Is Traded To The Seahawks

The New York Jets have decided to send Sheldon Richardson to the Seattle Seahawks. The Seahawks will send wide receiver Jermaine Kearse and their 2018 second-round draft pick back to the Jets. Both teams will also swap 2018 7th-round picks.

“Another team wanted me, Got to roll with the punches. I’m happy for the situation I’m in now. Fresh start.” – Sheldon Richardson

This trade makes the Seahawks defense the top defense in the NFC on paper before the season starts. Sheldon Richardson is quick for a guy his size and will blow past linemen in most one on one situations.
For the Jets, this is much of the same. They are still getting rid of their best players and showing all of the signs that they are tanking and/or rebuilding.
