The San Diego Padres have decided to fire Jayce Tingler after 2 seasons. Tingler compiled a record of 116-105 during his tenure with the Padres. He also was awarded the 2020 National League manager of the year.

The Padres are expected to be in the playoff picture in the 2021 season. They felt they had the lineup and the pitching staff to be one of the best teams in the National League. 

It will be interesting to see who the Padres hire as their next manager.
