The NBA is officially changing the name of NBA development league from the D-league to the NBA G-League. This looks like an obvious partnership with the soft drink brand Gatorade.
The G-league has had an eminent amount of growth over the last 10 years. A lot of players have made the move from the G-league to the NBA and were able to help an NBA team. 22 of the 26 teams are directly connected to NBA franchises.
I would hope this new partnership will lead to teams jersey’s makeover and more attention to the games. I wouldn’t mind seeing some games on Twitter.
