I was excited to find out that Netflix will be releasing season 2 of Master of None starting Aziz Ansari in May 2017. For a moment I thought this was a one shot deal and Netflix was not going make any additional seasons. Which was odd because it was such a good show. The first season was released November 6, 2015, so it’s been a while.
Aziz Ansari has already announced that it will be a long break between season 2 and season 3.
“I’ve got to become a different guy before I write a third season, is my personal thought. I’ve got to get married or have a kid or something. I don’t have anything else to say about being a young guy being single in New York eating food around town all the time.” – Aziz Ansari to New York Magazine
In this content microwave era fans will surely not like this, but I see where he is coming from. As a writer, he needs to be inspired to create the content that shows his character evolve.
