Netflix has officially announced that they are renewing their original show “13 Reasons Why” for the 3rd season.
It is clear Netflix believes neither 13 reasons or 26 reasons was enough. But maybe 39 reasons is the number. I understand that Netflix is in the original content business, but I find myself asking why do we need more season of this show.
I liked the first season and the way the story was developed and how it ended. I thought an idea like “13 Reasons Why” was a one-shot deal Simply because the show is centered around finding out why someone committed suicide.
I am sure continuing to create seasons of this show may be lucrative from a business perspective, but the show is just losing it’s flare as it continues. There is only but some many ways you tell the story of why someone decided to take their life.
