UFC And Meta Agree To New Deal

UFC has signed a multiyear partnership with Meta. This deal makes Meta the UFC’s first official Fan Technology Partner. The new partnership integrates Meta’s technology across UFC events and content, leveraging platforms like Meta AI, Meta Glasses, Meta Quest, Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and Threads to enhance fan engagement.

  • Meta AI Innovations: The partnership is already working on a new fighter rankings system, set to debut later in 2025, though specifics remain undisclosed.
  • AI Glasses: Meta’s AI-powered glasses will be used to capture unique UFC content, potentially offering new perspectives at events.
  • Branding and Content: Meta will have branding in the Octagon during pay-per-views and Fight Nights, with Threads becoming the official social media partner featuring exclusive UFC content referenced in live broadcasts.
  • Fan Experience: The collaboration aims to deepen fan immersion through Meta’s tech ecosystem, with plans for in-arena experiences and further announcements expected within three to nine months.

UFC President Dana White emphasized that this deal will take fan engagement to the next level.

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, an MMA enthusiast, expressed excitement about enhancing fan experiences. Financial terms weren’t disclosed, but it’s described as a multimillion-dollar deal.
