Ridesharing apps, Uber and Lyft preserve their business model by keeping drivers from becoming employees in the state of Califonia after voting on Proposition 22.
Over 11 million voters choosing to keep drivers classified as independent contractors. There were also drivers who wanted to remain an independent contractor and like the ability to create their own hours.
Uber and Lyft saw their stocks rise over 10% after the announcement of the voting outcome of Proposition 22.
