Tropical storm Nate is intensifying as it makes its way to the Gulf coast. The wind speeds have been tracked at up to 40 mph. it has been reported that 5 people have died in Nicaragua due to the storm.
Nate could hit Louisiana, Florida, and Georgia this weekend(10/6/2017-10/8/2017). The storm could induce some minor to major flooding but is not expected to cause a lot of damage with its winds. This is all dependent that this storm does not get stronger.
By the time it hits the Gulf Coast Friday, it can be a category 1 hurricane. All area of potential impact is on high alert and have plans in place if things get really bad. Nate is expected to provide a ton of rain the east coast after the weekend.
