In a follow-up statement. President Trump stated the tariff could increase to 10% by July 1, 2019. Trump went a step further and said the tariff could see another increase then by an additional 5 percent each month for three months.
Mexico’s deputy foreign minister for North America Jesus Seade said Mexico could retaliate.
President Trump Tariffs against Mexico are in fact extreme. He is clearly trying to get Mexico to compensate to his demands or at least come to an agreement that e believes is fair.
