Sloane Stephens Wins Her First U.S. Open Title

Sloane Stephens wins her first U.S. Open in dominant fashion. Winning 2 sets 6-3, 6-0 over Madison Key. Some would say the real finals was actually the semi finals between Venus Williams and Sloane Stephens. Sloane looked better than ever coming off her foot surgery which kept out of tennis for 11 months. She was ranked 83rd overall coming into the tournament
I am expecting a collision course between Sloane Stephens and Serena Williams in the future. It is uncertain how long Serena will stay away from Tennis once she gives birth, but I would be surprised if Serena doesn’t compete at some point in 2018.
