The lone Phillies 2017 All-Star has been traded. The Phillies will send Pat Neshek to the Rockies for 3 minor league prospects. The rumor mill was buzzing with Nesheks name as a few contending teams wanted to add him to their bullpen.
The Rockies are currently one of the two NL wild-card teams if the playoffs started today. Heshek will definitely strengthen their bullpen during the second half of the season and into a playoff push.
The Phillies got back SS Jose Gomez & RHPs Alejandro Requena & J.D. Hammer. The Phillies organization feel they got some good young studs in this trade.
