Microsoft is pulling the plug on its gaming streaming platform Mixer and will partner with Facebook Gaming.

The Mixer application will be shut down on July 22, 2020. Microsoft plans to push its Mixer users towards the Facebook Gaming service.

“I think the Mixer community is really going to benefit from the broad audience that Facebook has through their properties, and the abilities to reach gamers in a very seamless way through the social platform Facebook has.” – Phil Spencer, Microsoft Gaming Executive

Microsoft started Mixer back in 2017.
