According to boxofficemojo.com, Marvel’s Black Panther earned an estimated $192 million domestically in Opening Weekend.Internationally the movie earned an estimated $169 million brings the opening weekend grand total to an estimated $361 million.
It’s safe to say that this Movie is on it’s way to grossing over a billion dollars in the next month or two. I know plenty of people who do not like the “crowd” and are happy seeing movies a week after the opening weekend.
I am of the belief that Marvel will make a Black Panther 2 and 3. The same way they gave Iron Man, Captain America, and Thor a trilogy of films. I thought Black Panther was a decent movie, but I think a Black Panther 2 Movie has the potential to tell a much more engaging story. This first Black Panther Movie was to get the audience to understand Wakanda and it’s culture. They also wanted did good character development. All of those things are setting the stage so when a much bigger threat comes to Wakanda, you can tell a much more drama filled and suspenseful story.
