Kim Jong sent a personal message to the White House via South Korea’s national security advisor Chung Eui-yong.
President Donald Trump has already accepted the invitation to meet Kim Jong Un and plans to do so in May 2018. The location of the meeting is yet to be determined. When this meeting takes place this will be the first time both countries leaders would have a meeting.
At least on the surface, it looks like the ongoing tension between the United States and North Korea is at ease for a change. Trump believes North Korea wants to talk about denuclearization.
At the very least this seems like some type of forwarding progress. We’ll see what comes of it all.
