In a strange turn of events, Jussie Smollett charges have been dropped. However, the Chicago police department is still standing firm on believing Jussie was, in fact, guilty of generating a false police report.
“We believe he did what he was charged with doing,” – Joe Magats State Of Illions Attorney
So how did Jussie Smollett get all of the charges dropped?
Chicago Police Superintendent Eddie Johnson is asking the same questions. He has his own beliefs of what he thinks happened behind closed doors.
“I’m sure we all know what happened this morning, do I think justice was served? No. What do I think justice is? I think this city is owed an apology. At the end of the day, it’s Mr. Smollett who committed this hoax, period, I heard that they wanted their day in court so America could know the truth, and they chose to hide behind a secrecy of a brokered deal to circumvent the judicial system.” – Superintendent Eddie Johnson
Jussie Smollett spoke publicly right outside the courthouse.
“I want you to know that not for a moment was it in vain, I’ve been truthful and consistent on every single level since day one. I would not be my mother’s son if I was capable of one drop of what I was accused of.” – Jussie Smollett
I got to say at this point I don’t know who to believe or what story to believe.
