J.C. Penney Is Closing More Stores

J.C. Penny has revealed plans to close 6 more stores and a call center. According to reports the effective closing date for the stores will April 24, 2020.

The department store retailer is hoping to gain from losing. The company senior vice president of communications, Brooke Buchanan revealed they have thoroughly reviewed their portfolio and believe that closing these stores is the best thing to do for the company right now.

J.C. Penny is also closing their Lenexa call center in Kansas. The reason behind closing the call center is to centralize the entire call center operation. They are of the belief that will be able to better serve the customer this way.

Missoula, Montana: Southgate Mall
Valley Stream, New York: Green Acres Mall
Raleigh, North Carolina: North Hills Shopping Center
Akron, Ohio: Chapel Hill Mall
Tulsa, Oklahoma: Tulsa Promenade
Myrtle Beach, South Carolina: Myrtle Beach Mall
