The clothing store Express is planning to close 91 of its retail stores. The news comes after the retailer hit a sales slump over the 2019 holiday season.

It was reported that Express sales declined by 3%. in the 4th quarter of 2019. Express CEO is all in on a turnaround strategy to help bring the brand back to profitability.
The plan is to close 91 stores, downsize the employees in the headquarters by 10%, and revamp the customer’s loyalty program. The fashion retailer believes they will cut their spending down by $80 million dollars by making these changes.
Express has not released a list of the stores that will be closing nor did they provide a date for the closures.
