Danny “Swift” Garcia knocked Brandon Rios out in the 9th round.
Garcia managed to knock Rios out countering off of a weak job. The referee counted to 8 before Brandon Rios stood up and then decided to stop the fight. Danny Garcia is now 34-1 with 20 KO’s.
For the most part, Danny Garcia was landing meaningful shots in just about every round and controlled the fight.
After the official announcement at the end of the fight, Shawn Porter jumped in the ring basically taunting Garcia. It is clear Shawn Porter wants to be Danny Garcia’s next fight at some point this year.
