Canelo defeated Daniel Jacobs in a unanimous decision. Jacobs made the fight close in the later rounds but I did think Canelo won more rounds. I had Canelo winning 7 of the 12 rounds.

This fight was closer than I expected it to be. Jacobs really held his own in this and he even got off some nice power shots. He piqued my interest to look forward to the next time he will be in the ring.
Canelo seems to be on the path to be the undisputed middleweight champion. The last belt he will need is WBO middleweight championship. That belt is held by Demetrius Andrade. I can see Canelo Alvarez vs Demetrius Andrade setup for sometime in September 2019.
