A 6.6 Magnitude Earthquake Hits Puerto Rico

The island of Puerto Rico was hit with 2 strong earthquakes in the span of 2 days.

The first earthquake hit Puerto Rico on Monday(January 6, 2020) with a magnitude of 5.8. The following day(January 7, 2020) another earthquake occurred south of the island with a magnitude of 6.6.

The results of the earthquakes have caused heavy damage and widespread power outages. Some residents are fearful to be inside of their homes at the moment due to the likelihood of their house collapsing.
