President Trump Informed Congress that the pay raises that were due in January 2019 is officially canceled.
The most civilian federal employees that will not be getting their raises at the turn of the new year. The pay increase was slated to be about a 2.1% increase for most federal workers.

The Democrats were outraged by the Presidents announcement. Left wingers are banking on Congress to approve a raise of 1.9% instead of 2.1%. Many believe Trump’s tax plan did absolutely nothing so he trying to off-set that by cutting raises for federal workers.
I saw this coming from a mile away. When it was reported that Trump was willing to shut down the government if they can’t agree on a budget, this told me they were looking to cut back some government spending. I didn’t know it would be federal workers raises, but I knew it would be something.
