The Buffalo Sabres has decided to fire general manager Jason Botterill. This decision came after ownership publicly stated that they support Botterill as their general manager.
It has been reported that the reason for the firing of Jason Botterill was due to cutting costs.

Kevyn Adams, the Buffalo Sabres senior VP of business administration, was named general manager.
