The Buffalo Sabres has decided to fire general manager Jason Botterill. This decision came after ownership publicly stated that they support Botterill as their general manager.
It has been reported that the reason for the firing of Jason Botterill was due to cutting costs.
“We need to make adjustments in the business side of our operations that we provide that foresight to the operation. And we felt like we weren’t being heard, I’m not going to sit here and dish on Jason Botterill, but we have a vision and we want to see our vision succeed.” – Terry Pegula, Co-Owner Of Buffalo Sabres
Kevyn Adams, the Buffalo Sabres senior VP of business administration, was named general manager.
