Oprah was inspired by George and Amal Clooney and decided to match their $500,000 donation to the March For Our Lives rally taking place next month. This march was organized by the survivors of the Stoneman Douglass shooting as a protest against gun violence.
George and Amal, I couldn’t agree with you more. I am joining forces with you and will match your $500,000 donation to ‘March For Our Lives.’ These inspiring young people remind me of the Freedom Riders of the 60s who also said we’ve had ENOUGH and our voices will be heard.

I don’t doubt that Oprah wants to support the survivors of the Stoneman Douglass school shooting. But I can’t help but believe this is apart of Oprah’s 2020 presidential campaign. I think Oprah will put herself in the mix for president in 2020 and this action will put a feather in her cap so to speak.
I want to reiterate that I do believe her philanthropic notion is genuine, but I also believe it is serving a dual purpose for her possibly being the next leader of the free world.
