New California Is Declaring Independence from California

California is looking to be divided into two states, California and New California. Robert Preston has made reference to California as being “ungovernable”.

“Well, it’s been ungovernable for a long time. High taxes, education, you name it, and we’re rated around 48th or 50th from a business climate and standpoint in California,” – Robert Paul Preston

This New California proclamation reminds me of how West Virginia was formed back in the 1860’s. Apparently, New California is approaching this declaration similar to how West Virginia did working with the state legislatures.
Many political analysts believe the entire idea of New California becoming their own state and separating from the state of California is a long shot. The representatives of New California are already aware it may take 1 to 2 years before they are completely ready to engage with state legislators.
