The Detroit Lions have decided to fire head coach Matt Patricia after coaching 43 games for the team.
Patricia had a combined record of 13-29-1 during his tenure as the head coach of the Lions. That gave him a winning percentage of 31.4%.
As I stated on an episode of “Off Night Radio” that Matt Patricia should have been fired before this season started. I wasn’t a fan of the Lions firing Jim Caldwell for Matt Patricia. Caldwell had 3 winning seasons and 2 playoff berths in his 4 years as the head coach.
I am not sure if Patricia will get another chance at being a head coach, but I can see Bill Belichick possibly hiring him back as a coordinator.
