The Summer Olympics is headed back to the United States in the year 2028. This is the first Olympics in the United States since the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta.
The city of Los Angeles was campaigning for the 2024 Summer Olympics along with the city of Paris. Paris was awarded the 2024 Summer Olympics. I look at it as a win-win two great cities get to host the Olympic back to back.

International Olympic Committee will give the Los Angeles $1.8 billion along with granting the city the 2028 Summer Olympics.
“The Money is to increase participation and access to youth sports programmes in the City of Los Angeles in the years leading up to the Games,” – International Olympic Committee
