Kyle Lowry Will Opt Out Of His Contract

Kyle Lowry had a player option with the Raptor where he was slated to make $12 million next season. Lowry has decided to opt out of his contract and become a free agent this summer.
It’s unclear whether his intentions was to resign with the Raptors or not. The 3-time All-Star now becomes one of the top free agents in the 2017 offseason. Steph Curry is expected to get a new contract from Golden State which will be looked at to set the bar for point guards salary in the NBA.
The Raptors lost to Cavaliers in the playoffs for the second straight year. It would make the most sense if this current Raptors team gets more pieces around their All-Star backcourt. I think the Raptors need to make it top priority to bring Kyle Lowry back to Toronto at all cost.
