Kohl’s has accepted Amazon returns at 100 of their location since 2017. It was sort of like a pilot program, but now every Kohl’s store will take their returns. Kohl’s CEO Michelle Gass says 80% of Americans live within 10 miles of a Kohl’s location.
Kohl’s expects to benefit from this partnership with Amazon by getting people into their physical location and possibly buy something when they make a return. Sure, you have people that will use Kohl’s to return their Amazon products and leave. But you always will turn some of those Amazon return customers into shoppers.
