Honda Motor Co is considering building an electric vehicle plant in Canada for an estimated $14 billion. The project could include in-house production of batteries and more.
The Japanese automaker is looking at multiple potential sites for the plant, including next to an existing automobile factory in Ontario. Honda and General Motors are scrapping their plans to jointly develop affordable electric vehicles back in October 2023.
Production on the new plant could begin production as soon as 2028.
