Independent designer Lamont Troy is claiming Balenciaga stole one of his designs. Lamont said he was out at a private party with a crewneck that said “FREE” in all capital letters.
Three years later Lamont was tagged in a video of Diddy in a Vanity Fair video where fans thought he got his big break. He was actually confused because the shirt Diddy was wearing was not one made by him. The young designer then knew someone has copied his design.
He then discovered that Balenciaga was behind everything. Lamont Discovered that Balenciaga was selling his design for 25x the price he was selling it for. The company has yet to reach out to Balenciaga.
