Watson was trending upward and some would say he was the leading candidate for rookie of the year. Tom Savage is likely to be the next man up as quarterback for Houston. The Texans also are signing Matt McGloin to be the backup to Tom Savage to finish the season. The playoffs are not likely for Houston at this point.
