The Dallas Cowboys and DeMarcus Lawrence have agreed on a $105 million contract for 5-years. $65 million of the contract is fully guaranteed.

Lawrence is clearly one of the elite pass rushers in the NFL today. He has accumulated 25 sacks in the last two seasons.

I think the Cowboys may have overpaid for Lawrence. I am not so sure they could have got him for $85 million over 5 years with $40 million guaranteed. I think the Cowboys had to overpay due to making him play under a franchise tag in the 2018 season.
