Since the Disney-Fox deal is not officially done yet. Comcast is planning to make a cash offer to acquire Fox that exceeds the estimated $50 billion Disney Offered.
It is rumored that Fox is already committed to doing the deal with Disney that it doesn’t really matter how much money Comcast offers. Fox seems to have a preference and the amount of money isn’t really going to change that.
“While no final decision has been made, at this point the work to finance the all-cash offer and make the key regulatory filings is well advanced” – Comcast Statment
It would be wise for Comcast to wait for the Judge decision on the AT&T-Time Warner deal. If they allow that deal to go through, I think Comcast Acquiring Fox wouldn’t have any issues.
