Claude Julien Fired By The Canadians

The Montreal Canadiens fired head coach Claude Julien and associate coach Kirk Muller following a three-game losing streak. Assistant coach Dominique Ducharme has been appointed interim coach.

“I would like to sincerely thank Claude and Kirk for their contributions to our team over the past five years during which we worked together. I have great respect for these two men whom I hold in high regard”  – Marc Bergevin, Canadiens General Manager

The firing of Claude Julien feels like an overreaction. The Montreal Canadiens are 9-5-4 and are still in a position to right the ship and make the playoffs.
