The Tampa Rays have agreed to trade pitcher Blake Snell to the San Diego Padres.
In Return the Padres will send pitcher Luis Patiño, Catcher Francisco Mejía, pitcher Cole Wilcox and catcher Blake Hunt.
The San Diego Padres believe getting the Cy Young winner Blake Snell makes them a contender in the National League, The team made the playoffs for the first time since 2006 in the shortened 2020 season.
