Former Governor William Weld is launching a presidential exploratory committee to challenge President Trump in the Republican primaries in 2020. There have been a few people who are rumored to attempt to challenge President Trump in the Republican primaries but Weld is the first to publicly announce it.

I personally think Weld is facing an uphill battle challenging Trump for the Republican slot. It will take more than sound politic knowledge and good ideas to beat him. Trump has a way of getting people to talk about the things he wants you to talk about.
It will be interesting if Bill Weld is joined by some other Republicans that will challenge Trump as well.
