The Apple WWDC event revealed some new thing for the company. One of the highlights of the event was the reveal of the HomePod. Apple believes this device will change the way music is listened to in the home.
Apple’s new HomePod is now in the same market the Amazon Echo and Google Home. The HomePod price tag is significantly higher than it’s competitors. The Amazon Echo goes for $179. The Google Home just got a price decrease and goes from $109.
Apple price point is interesting. They brought a product to a market that already exists, and they are going to set their price point significantly higher than the existing competitors. Apple consumers have shown their loyalty before when Apple has made some bold moves with a products pricing.
