Los Angeles Angels owner Arte Moreno has begun the process to sell the team. Moreno has purchased the franchise back in 2003 for $184 million. The Los Angeles Angels are estimated to be worth $2 billion dollars.
The Angels won the World Series back in 2002 and remained one of the best teams through the 2009 season. However, the franchise has not seen much success since 2009. The franchise only made the playoffs once in 2014 in the last 13 seasons.
The Angels currently have 2 of the best player in the MLB in Mike Trout and two-way player Shohei Ohtani. Both players have won AL MVP awards, but the team has not seen much success.
It is unclear how long it will take to sell the franchise, but I can bet the new owner(s) want Shohei Ohtani and Mike Trout on the roster when they but the team.
