WWE has decided to sign 15 college athletes to name, image and likeness contracts known as NIL. The wrestling company plans to use the new NCAA NIL rule to begin a pipeline to get young wrestling talent. these newly signed athletes play football, basketball, and of course wrestling.
“Upon completion of the NIL program, select athletes may earn an exclusive opportunity to be offered a WWE contract” – WWE Official Statment
Some of the athletes they signed have an impressive social media following. Oklahoma State wrestler AJ Ferrari who is also known as Mr. Fast Twitch has over 67K followers on Instagram.
