After president Donald Trump suggested letting Russia back into the G-7 group of leading industrialized nation.
Putin seems to be open to the possibility of getting back into the G-7 group in the near future. During an interview, Putin stated he is willing to have the meeting whenever America is ready.
“The U.S. president has repeatedly said that it’s reasonable to hold such a meeting, as soon as the U.S. side is ready, the meeting will take place, depending, of course, on my working schedule.” – Vladimir Putin
I would have to agree with Trump when he says it would be an asset to have Russia back in the group. Russia is the 2nd most powerful country on earth next to the United States. I don’t see the benefit of keeping Russia out of a group of industrialized nations.
Going a step further the United States and Russia not being allies at this point doesn’t make much sense anymore. The history is there, the cold war happened I got it, but America and Russia as allies only benefit the world at this point.
I believe Trump will reach out to Russia to make this meeting happen with Putin sometime in the near Future.
