The 112-year-old company Stein Mart has filed for Bankruptcy and plans to close all of their stores. Stein Mart was hit hard by the lack of foot traffic due to the coronavirus pandemic. The discount retailer, Stein Mart has 279 stores across 30 states.
The company has laid out its liquidation plan for the next few months. Customers will get 30% off the lowest ticketed price. Stein Mart will still accept gift cards and loyalty rewards for a limited time.
The result of Stein Mart closing all of their stores will cause a significant number of layoffs.
