The Seattle Strom has won the inaugural Commissioner’s Cup in blow-out fashion. Seattle beat the Connecticut Sun 79 – 57. Breanna Stewart was named the MVP with a game-high of 17 points.
The Commissioner Cup features one team from each conference earned a berth in Championship Game. The winner of the game has a $500,000 prize pool to split amongst the players. Each player on the winning team will receive $30,000 each. Each player on the losing team will receive $10,000 each. The MVP of the game gets an additional $5,000.
WNBA Commissioner’s Cup winners also receive a trophy.
