Rick Ross and his family have received fines for violations at multiple Wingstop locations in Mississippi.
The Department of Labor’s Wage and Hour Division has collected over $114,000 in back wages liquidated damages and civil penalties for 5 Wingstop locations operated by Boss Wing Enterprises, LLC.
It was discovered that some employees were forced to pay for their own safety training, uniforms, background checks, and cash register shortages. Some employees made less than the federal minimum wage of $7.25 after business deductions.
The Wingstop corporate office issued a public statement on these violations.
“Our franchise agreement requires all of our franchisees to operate under our operating standards, which requires compliance with all laws and regulations, we were not previously aware of the DOL action against Boss Wings LLC.” – Wingstop Offical Statemnet
No one from Boss Wings Enterprises, LLC has issued a statement publically at this time.
