The United States First Lady has finally announced her “Be Best” Initiative. The “Be Best” Campaign will focus on children’s awareness of several social issues.
At first glance, this entire “Be Best” initiative sounds vague to me. The campaign doesn’t have a care goal or mission when you first hear about it. I feel it will have to be explained over and over before it gets a true identity.
I do think to make children aware of social issues like opioid abuse and social media bullying is a positive gesture. I Just hope it is effective to some degree.
It is common for the first lady to find a cause or something they care about and build a campaign around it. I always looked at it as giving the first lady something to do if nothing else.
