Album Review: Meek Mill – Wins & Losses

Meek Mill Wins and losses project had an interesting rollout. During the week of the album release, Meek released a series of short films on YouTube title Win & Losses chapter 1-4.

The intro song “Wins & Losses” didn’t hit that hard for me. I may only be saying that because Meek gave us such a classic intro on his first album. I will say that Meek has leveled up as an artist overall. I like how he is picking his spots with his flows. His content on this album I would consider an improvement from just the flashy rap about the cars and the Rolex.
The Track “Fall Thru” sticks out to me. Meek was on his melody vibe and it actually sounds good. It doesn’t sound forced or rushed at all. And he talking that shit on the song about relationships or situation-ships nowadays. Meek addressed Nicki as he should in the “Heavy Heart” song. I like that he addressed it and kept it moving.

I think Issues might be my favorite song on the album. That “Connect The Dots” featuring Yo Gotti and Rick Ross is hard as nails.

I can see people playing this song loud in the cars with the tops off or the windows open. None of the featured artists really stick out to me. Meek really held his own on this album and the features just added a little flavor to the songs they appeared on.
