America’s favorite basketball dad, Lavar Ball is making news again. Lavar is starting a junior pro basketball league sponsored by the Big Baller Brand.
The concept of the league is to give High School basketball prospects another option than the NCAA to try to get to the pros. Unlike the NCAA, this new basketball league will pay the players. The salaries are said to range from $3,000 to $10,000 per month. Lavar wants to recruit 80 players
“Getting these players is going to be easy. This is giving guys a chance to get a jumpstart on their career, to be seen by pro scouts, and we’re going to pay them because someone has to pay these kids.” – Lavar Ball
I really hope Lavar Ball finds success with this new venture. On paper this new JBA he wants to starts sounds great, I am just hoping to see it become reality. If this league becomes successful it will be a certified game changer.
